The property developer Seven Tides has commenced construction of a brand new luxury resort on one of its islands in The World archipelago in Dubai. The company has started to build on one of the South American islands, which is closest to Dubai’s shoreline, and the low-rise property will have 60 villas, as well as numerous dining outlets and a luxury spa.
After the success that came from opening the beach at Umm Suqueim during night time, tourism authorities look to provide visitors with more spaces for bathing at late hours. Al Mamzar beach, close to Deira Islands will soon be ready to welcome guests who are avid to cool off from the high temperatures after the sun goes down.
During the 2017 ceremony of the Arabian Travel Awards, several accolades were given to important representatives and institutions of the hotel and tourism industry. Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai received a trophy as the best airport hotel in the region as a testament to its level of excellence in accommodation and services.
The Emirates NBD Dubai Economy Tracker Index recently reported faster output growth in June, noting that the city saw an increase to 56.5 in June from 55 in May. Khatija Haque, Head of MENA Research at Emirates NBD noted that Dubai’s economy grew at a faster rate in the first half of 2017 compared with the same period last year.
As tourism to Dubai continues to grow year after year, Dubai’s iconic Atlantis hotel seeks to keep attracting high-level guests. The Sol Kerzner property recently announced a $100 million refurbishment plan to bring all facilities up to date, within a three-year period. The renovation programme began just this month.
