Dubai City Tour

Sample an authentic slice of Dubai's rich culture and history with this enjoyable half-day city tour. Experience the bustle and excitement of its traditional souks, appreciate its traditional Arabic architecture, and get to know this remarkable city a little more closely.

At first glance, Dubai is a shining emblem of modern buildings and technology – a vibrant cosmopolitan centre full of world-class luxury hotels, gleaming towers and opulent shopping malls. Take the time to look a little closer, however, and you will find a rich seam of traditional culture and ancient history just waiting to be explored. This half-day tour offers a thrilling glimpse into the older Dubai, and is sure to whet your appetite for more!

There's so much more to Dubai's retail than its sleek, air-conditioned luxury shopping malls – as we will discover at our first stop on the tour: the Gold Souk. This famous traditional market offers a dazzling range of stunning gold jewellery to admire – as well as the chance to pick up a bargain at one of the most competitive gold markets in the world. We'll also browse some of the myriad other souks in the area, where you will find a vast variety of goods for sale – from clothes and stunning textiles to aromatic perfume and spices.

The next stop on your Dubai tour will be the heart of the city's heritage, Bastakiya. In this beautiful area of the city you can wander the narrow alleyways and admire excellent examples of traditional Arabic architecture. Moving on to Fahidi Fort, you will experience one of the most important historical monuments in Dubai, dating back to the 18th century. Today, the fort houses the Dubai History Museum, where you can admire its treasure trove of displays and artefacts charting the rise and development of this amazing city.

The final stop on our tour is one of the undoubted highlights of the city, the beautiful and magnificent Jumeirah Mosque. This elegantly designed building stands as a perfect example of how traditional Islamic values blend seamlessly with the sensibilities of modern Dubai, creating a city with its own unique mix of heritage and history – a forward-looking city which maintains great respect for the traditions of the past. It's this combination that helps to make Dubai one of the world's premier tourist destinations, which continues to inspire and excite visitors from around the globe.
