Diving in Dubai

Dubai offers some of the most thrilling and intriguing dive sites in the Middle East, for both beginners and experts. As a historic port city it has a great selection of wrecks to explore, along with an abundance of coral reef and colourful, intriguing marine life.

Scuba diving has to be one of the most exciting and exhilarating activities you can choose, wherever you are in the world – but that's especially true in Dubai. That's because some of the most beautiful, spectacular and interesting dive sites in the Middle East – if not the world – can be found right here in the Arabian Gulf, just off the coast of Dubai – and in the surrounding areas. Whether you're an experienced and confident diver, an absolute beginner, or somewhere in between, this is a wonderful dive location not to be missed.

Beautiful coral reefs, intriguing and spectacular shipwrecks, and an abundance of colourful and fascinating marine life are all just waiting to be discovered on your Dubai dive. The UAE is home to a great selection of dive centres, but Dubai is undoubtedly the best choice for wreck diving.

Dubai is a historic, thriving seaport, and where there have been ships you will – of course – find shipwrecks. Nearby dive sites range in depth from around ten to eighty metres, offering a great variety of diving environments and experiences. You will encounter an incredible range of ships and boats littering the sea floor, which have sunk due to marine accidents or bad weather – or even a few that have been placed there intentionally to form artificial reefs for wildlife.

Of course, nature always takes advantage of an opportunity, and a wonderful collection of lifeforms have made the area of these wreck sites their home. From turtles and sea snakes to angelfish, rays, barracuda and even dolphins, you're sure to have plenty of interesting and curious company when you dive off the coast of Dubai. You will also have the chance to explore incredible, brightly-coloured coral gardens and underwater caves, teeming with movement and life.

Diving in Dubai offers the chance to step into a whole new world – a magical kingdom full of brand new sights, sounds and experiences. Whether you've dived before or you just fancy a beginner's session, your visit to Dubai provides a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of experiencing some of the best dive sites you will ever find.
