Six Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is a union of seven different Emirates, each with its own distinct culture and atmosphere. The Six Emirates tour allows participants to visit all of the Emirates apart from Abu Dhabi. In doing so, they will discover the rich diversity of the landscapes and cultures of the country.

The United Arab Emirates boast an incredible range of landscapes, incorporating mountains, beaches, deserts and oases. Meanwhile, the cities include some of the most impressive modern architecture alongside some well preserved ancient buildings. The Six Emirates tour allows participants to experience the breadth of what the country has to offer in a single day.

Setting off from Dubai, the tour incorporates some of the incredible modern buildings that the city boasts, before moving on to the adjacent Emirate of Sharjah. This is widely regarded as one of the most important cultural centres in the Middle East. It has a unique collection of museums and art galleries as well as some carefully restored historic areas.

During the visit to Sharjah, there will be an opportunity to visit the Blue Souk. This is the city's biggest market and is located in a distinctive Islamic style building decorated with blue tiles. All manner of goods are available inside and haggling is expected.

The Emirate of Ajman comes next in the tour. This is home to the Dhow Yard, where visitors can watch sailing ships being built using traditional methods. It is also the location of the Ajman museum, which is a 16th century fort that was formerly the Sheikh's palace and is now home to a fascinating selection of artefacts.

The Sheikh's palace in Umm Al Quwain is also a stop on the tour during its visit to that Emirate, as is a stop for refreshments at La Palma Hotel. Following this is a visit to Ras Al Khaimah in the North of the UAE. This portion of the tour involves a visit to Al Jazirah Al Hamra, the oldest town in the Persian Gulf.

The final Emirate visited during the tour is Fujairah. This region is known for its unspoiled beauty, with a landscape that veers between majestic mountain ranges and pristine sandy beaches. Visitors will get to stop at a traditional oasis, or wadi as the locals would style it. They can then peruse the stalls at the Friday Market and finish their tour with lunch at the Sandy Beach hotel.
