Magical Abu Dhabi

A trip to Abu Dhabi will open your eyes to the culture, history and natural beauty of the largest of the Emirates. This full-day tour will reveal a laid-back, welcoming and distinctly Arabic city which respects traditions whilst it embraces the modern world.

When you're visiting Dubai, surrounded by all the trappings of this busy, modern, cosmopolitan city, you may be forgiven for thinking that this is all the Emirates have to offer. However, there's even more to be explored and discovered, as you will find on your guided trip to Abu Dhabi. This full-day tour of the magical city will reveal a place of beauty and elegance – firmly rooted in Arabic traditions and offering a shining example of Islamic hospitality.

Despite its status as the capital of the UAE and the largest of the seven Emirates, Abu Dhabi still remains a green, attractive and distinctly Arab city which has something of a slower pace and a calmer ambience than Dubai. It may be known as the 'Manhattan of the Middle East', but Abu Dhabi has cultivated a noticeably laid-back and welcoming atmosphere, containing a refreshing and sympathetic blend of the old and the new, which is an absolute delight to visit.

Abu Dhabi certainly has its share of gleaming modern skyscrapers, classy hotels and luxurious shopping malls. However, you can't wander these modern delights without being constantly reminded of the rich cultural heritage of the region, thanks to the mosques, traditional structures and historic landmarks you will find scattered all around.

Since the start of the oil boom in the late 1950s, Abu Dhabi has undergone remarkable growth from a sleepy fishing village to a modern metropolis, and is now one of the richest and most advanced cities in the world. On your tour you will learn more about how this 'black gold' has led to such a stunning and magical transformation.

On our way to Abu Dhabi we will pass Jebel Ali, the world's largest man-made port, before our first stop at Abu Dhabi's oldest building – Al Husn Place – dating back to 1761. We'll also call at the Cornishe, a beautiful waterfront and beach boasting pristine swimming conditions. You'll enjoy some amazing views of the city, visit a bustling fish market and absorb lots of history and culture, before our final stop of the tour – afternoon tea at the luxurious Emirates Palace. A perfect way to round off your trip to this magical city.
