Many of us are now breaking up for the Christmas holidays from work and are truly ready to get into the festive spirit. It’s a lovely time, when we can spend the festive season with our loved ones and indulge with them whilst spending some quality time together.

And if you’re out there in Dubai on a sunny winter break – then you are in for a real treat. Because a Christmas spent in Dubai is really magical – with the festive trees, lights, gifts all done in a bigger and better manner.

It’s important to plan your days during the Christmas holidays in Dubai, as before you know it, you’ll be in January 2018, and your holidays will be over. So, make the most of your time off work this December and try attending some of these fabulous events and activities over the Christmas break.

Festive Market in Dubai brings fun for the young and those young at heart

Visit Madinat Jumeirah’s Festive Market, which is still running up to Wednesday 27 and enjoy festive inspired activities for the whole family. From a snow fight zone to bungee jumping, there is something for all ages to enjoy here. While the kids are having fun, and taking in the spirit of the festive season – as they will be visited by Santa Claus between 5pm and 7pm everyday – parents can enjoy a Christmas drink and snack.

Don’t miss out on the boxing day sales in Dubai

The Dubai Shopping Festival begins on December 26, running all the way until January 28. It’s safe to say that you can expect sales in all the malls. Extra-large discounts will be offered and therefore arriving early to bag that key bargain is important for the serious bargain hunter. Also remember that the malls get super busy after 12.00pm.

If you’re feeling a little blue on boxing day after an epic Christmas, then the vibe can still be found at the free Christmas Market at The Versailles Garden at the St Regis. It’s open until December 31, from 5pm to 9pm on weeknights, or 3pm to 9pm on weekends. You’ll find a Santa’s Grotto, shopping, a hops garden, a Christmas stage with live entertainment, a snow fight zone (cool), a merry-go-round, Christmas cookie decorating stations and more.

Koubba Bar for the best firework display in Dubai

A popular location to watch one of the world’s best New Year’s Eve fireworks displays, the elaborately adorned Koubba Bar is snuggled within the majestic Jumeirah Al Qasr hotel. With indoor and outdoor seating, a shisha-terrace and DJs to get the party going, this venue will host an unbelievable finale. Over 21s only.
