The Arabian tradition of meeting for afternoon tea has never been more luxuriously upheld than in Plato's cafe. Visitors can choose from an extensive menu of teas from around the world, as well as from a range of delicious pastries and snacks to enjoy with their beverage.

Arabian tea is something that should be tried by everyone who visits Dubai. Plato's offers one of the city's most luxurious tea drinking experiences, with an extensive selection of teas and honeys.

The coffee house is located in the Atlantis hotel on Dubai's famous man-made The Palm. The hotel is the largest in the city and is decorated from top to toe in an extravagant fashion. Plato's cafe is no exception, with rich golden fabrics used for its furnishings to create a warm, luxurious atmosphere. To help create a perfectly tranquil environment, a harpist provides musical accompaniment to the tea drinkers.

The tea menu at Plato's includes teas from all over the world. The staff at the cafe are willing and able to help visitors select a tea that will be to their liking. They can also advise on which of the nine varieties of honey that are used as sweeteners in the cafe would be most appropriate for a given tea or palate.

Visitors can choose from a range of delicate pastries, all of which are artfully constructed to restaurant standards. There are also plenty of scones, canapes and individual cakes, ensuring that every visit can be filled with a different selection of visually stunning, delicious treats.

A fun extra in Plato's is their honey fountain. This can be used to dip berries and other pieces of fresh fruits for a sweet interlude between rounds of scones or pastries.

For a special treat, a reservation for afternoon tea can be made at the cafe. This includes two hot drinks and a selection of sweet and savoury snacks. Afternoon tea is a perfect blend of English and Arabic tradition, with dainty sandwiches and scones complementing the exotic tea and honey sweetened pastries.

The dress code is fairly relaxed for Plato's with resort casual being acceptable during the day and smart casual in the evening. Emirati national dress is welcomed by the cafe.

The cafe is located off the hotel lobby. Complimentary valet parking is available for visitors who wish to arrive by car.
