One of the most unusual and unique attractions in Dubai, Ski Dubai is located within the Mall of the Emirates, one of the largest shopping malls in the world and a major attraction in the city.
Opened in 2005, the centre boasts its very own snow covered mountain as well as a choice of ski areas and Alpine themed attractions. The runs at Ski Dubai range from gentle learner slopes to challenging black runs and obstacle courses. There’s also a play area where younger skiers, sledgers and toboganists can have fun in the snow.
As well as skiing, snowboarding and sledging, visitors to Ski Dubai can have fun meeting the resident penguins, with close encounters available for guests who book a place in advance.
Temperatures in the attraction hover around -4ËC, dipping to -6ËC at night when the snow is produced. To ensure that skiers stay nice and toasty during their visit, Ski Dubai includes warm clothing and equipment in the cost of admission.
Once visitors have worked off their energy on the slopes, they can explore the site’s snow caves, snow rides and family areas. There’s also an Alpine café serving a selection of après ski drinks and delicious snacks and refreshments.
As Ski Dubai is located within the Mall of the Emirates, there are plenty of other restaurants and cafes nearby. Visitors can also spend hours exploring the various designer shops and boutiques housed in the mall as well as taking advantage of the wide choice of entertainment options on offer.
One of the most unique attractions in Dubai, Ski Dubai offers visitors the chance to enjoy an Alpine day out in the heart of the Middle East. The perfect place to cool off and escape the desert sun, Ski Dubai makes a great destination for a day out with a difference and is a must see during your stay in the city.
