After a ten-year delay following the 2008 financial crash, Dubai's "The World," a man-made series of islands designed to look like a world map is once again under construction. The project began in 2003 but languished for the past ten years. Currently, only the Dubai version of Lebanon is complete, but that will certainly change in the near future.
The Emaar Hospitality Group has announced plans for a new island development which will be part of the Dubai Harbour project. The Emaar Beachfront will span 100 million square feet and it will feature a 1.5km private beach, restaurants, attractions and shops, and a twin-tower development, Beach Vista, with a range of one- to four-bedroom apartments, and facilities including swimming pools and a fitness centre.
Park Hyatt Dubai will open its new dining concept The Promenade this month. There will be five dining venues and bars, including The Thai Kitchen, Traiteur Brunch, Brasserie du Park, Seventy-seventh and Noépe. Each of the venues will offer delicious diverse cuisine, that ranges from new England specialities to authentic French dishes, as well as stylish surroundings and al fresco dining.
