Eco-conscious travellers will find much to admire at the Sofitel The Palm Dubai. The five-star resort offers upscale elegance with numerous sustainability-minded innovations. The property was recently certified by Green Globe, which gave the resort a notable compliance score of 87%.
Fairmont Dubai has unveiled a unique feature in its lobby to mark the start of Ramadan. The luxury hotel has a gigantic elevated carpet as its centrepiece, and it sits 4.5 metres under the hotel's atrium. The carpet measures four metres long and two metres wide, and it weighs 70kg. Accompanies by 150 Arabic lanterns, the flying carpet took two weeks for the hotel team and engineers to install.
Emirates has announced that it will launch daily flights to Dubai from Edinburgh in Scotland in October 2018. The service will be operated on a Boeing B777-300ER aircraft, and it will have three cabin categories. There will be eight private suites in First Class, 42 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 304 spacious seats in Economy Class. The new flight opens new travel opportunities for travel to the Middle East and beyond.
